Travel safe during COVID-19

What you can expect during your stay:

  • All linens sanitized in high-temperature wash
  • Face masks required for guests in public areas

  • Hand sanitizer available to guests & staff

  • Staff required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless check-in

  • Rooms won't be serviced during your stay to minimise contamination



We are following local government guidelines in order to keep our guests & members of staff safe.

As part of these procedures we have marked all communal hallways & reception floor with social distancing tape. On arrival hand sanitizer is available for use both as you enter & leave the house. We provide medical face masks & rubber gloves for use by those who choose to do so. Reminders are posted around the premises on the importance of practicing both social distancing & regular hand washing. We have taken all bed throws, cushions, dressing gowns/slippers from the rooms to minimize contamination. Rooms & communal areas are deep cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis.

Caernarfon is on the edge of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, on the coast with a backdrop of the mountain of Snowdonia, less than 30 minutes by car from the University & Cathedral City of Bangor on the North Wales coast.

The village is only 20 minutes from the A55 coast road that links North Wales the the M56 and M6 motorways with the North West.

  • Liverpool to Caernarfon - 1.5 hours.
  • Manchester to Caernarfon - 2 hours.
  • Birmingham to Caernarfon - 3 hours.
  • London to Caernarfon - 5 hours.

By train

See the National Rail website for train information. The nearest railway (Bangor) and is approx. two hours from Manchester and around three hours frrom London Euston. Bus onwards to Caernarfon takes approx 30 minutes.

By ferry

From Ireland, you can cross on the ferry to Holyhead, a 3.5 hr crossing. Holyhead is approx. 45 minutes from Caernarfon by car. See these websites for timetables:

By air

Both Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport are just over two 1/2 hours from Caernarfon.
